You are correct, the STA is configured with BPE AP parameters through some means that are not defined in 802.11bi. After the initial values configuration, the STA may discover the BPE AP as described in 1306r0.

Jarkko, thank you for your presentations on today's TGbi call and apologies that I did not ask my question.
Regarding slide #5 (11-22-1306r0), I'd like to understand what "knows" actually means. I think Joseph was making a similar point.
It appears to me that either the identity of the BPE AP is already known by the STA apriori (i.e. it is already provisioned), or alternatively the identity of the BPE AP is determined by the STA using an out of band method.
In other words, my understanding is that your mechanism assumes that the STA already knows the identity of the BPE AP, before it starts.
