Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBK] Aug. 29th Telecon

Hi Jay,

Thank you for your early inputs!

It looks that 11be group has made that decision based on 11beD4.0 text I cited in the PDT. The per-link based idea has also been brought up by some other folks in 11bk in the July meeting. So I mainly tried to align the solution with those factors for simplicity.

Let’s see what other folks think about this during the Tue call.

Thanks

Yanjun

Hi Yanjan,

I don't understand why the FTM session is the per-link session between two MLD devices.  In my mind, the behavior defined in 11bk draft should be aligned with current 11be draft, the simple way is to allow all the stuffs on MLO level, and also allow per-link measurement like FTM here.

Therefore, two MLDs should set up MLO FTM session, which allow the RSTA and ISTA to exhange the FTM frames on any of set-up links.

Hi Jonathan and all,

During the last 11bk session of the July meeting, comments were raised on whether and how to handle MLD devices.

Some of simplification ideas discussed then look reasonable to enable 11bk on MLD devices. So we tried to recap the past discussions and a simple solution based on the simplification ideas in 23/1421r0. We would like to hear the group’s inputs if schedule permits.

Please let me know if you have any early comments/suggestions.

Thanks

Yanjun
