Hi Laurent,

 

I think there is still need for more discussion regarding SP1 before excluding pre-11ax PPDUs. Just as one example, if the NAV duration is much longer than the PPDU duration of a 11ax PPDU, a switch is still useful.

Following presentation of document 495r0 (https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/24/11-24-0495-00-00bn-non-primary-channel-access-npca-follow-up.pptx) in may F2F, please queue the following SPs to the MAC 11bn queue.

 

SP1

Do you agree to add the following to the 11bn SFD

  • In 802.11bn, the event that triggers switching to the NPCA primary channel shall be
    • OBSS Control frame exchange (e.g., (MU-)RTS/CTS) or
    • OBSS HE/EHT/UHR PPDU

 

SP2

Do you agree to add the following to the 11bn SFD

  • In 802.11bn, the NPCA operation shall use the same EDCA parameters ((MU) EDCA Parameter Set, EPCS EDCA Parameters),  on both the BSS primary channel and the NPCA primary channel.
