Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] Roaming TTT: Please review 11-25/1826 (procedure for handling critical updates during ST)

Hi Abhi,

Thanks for the CR document. I have an editorial comment:

37.31.3.2          Procedure for advance notification

TGbn editor: please add the following paragraphs at the end of this subclause as shown below:

A current AP MLD shall include the UHR Parameters Update element in the per-STA profile of the Basic Multi-link element, carried within the ST preparation response, corresponding to an affiliated AP of a target AP MLD if all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • The Status Code field within the ST preparation response indicates SUCCESS.

And a technical comment:

For notification of a non-urgent update, it is better to keep individual addressed ST update notification as an option. The AP may select group addressed or individual addressed frame based on different scenarios. I believe individual addressed frame would be more efficient in most cases.

Hi Roaming TTT members,

I have revised the resolutions for the pending CIDs in doc 1826 to include a procedure for handling critical updates at a target AP MLD after ST preparation and before ST execution. The proposed procedure reflects the discussions from the Nov f2f meeting. Could you please review the proposed resolutions (starting on page 9) and let me know if you have any additional comments or suggestions?

Hi @Alfred Asterjadhi, can you please help add the above doc to the TGbn MAC agenda for running SP on the pending CIDs?

Regards,
Abhi
