[STDS-802-11-TGBN] 26/410 markup

Hi Arik

This is my updated markup (with a few more topics than I raised in my earlier unicast email so use this attachment instead) if you would please take a look and make changes accordingly.

Re 7813, for clause 9, recall subclause 9.1 says:

“A STA shall properly construct a subset of the frames specified in this clause for transmission and decode a (potentially different) subset of the frames specified in this clause upon validation following reception … A STA shall transmit frames using only the frame formats described in Clause 9 (Frame formats).

… so clause 9 is normative, we just don’t need to use normative language after subclause 9.1 since that would duplicate the overarching 9.1 normative statements above. The problem that does arise with clause 9 is including procedural requirements in clause 9, since they are a) not part of the intended scope of clause 9 and b) not protected by the quoted “shall” statements. However, fortunately, 7813 does not relate to procedures.

Best wishes

Brian
