[STDS-802-11-TGBN] 回复: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] Roaming TTT: Review of 11-26/0426 (Per-AP MLD PTK and related topics)

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your efforts. I have the following comments regarding 26/0426r3:

  1. You mentioned that the PTKSA may contain one or more {PTK, AP MLD MAC address, Key ID} tuples, and therefore the Key ID can uniquely identify a PTK. At the same time, you indicated that the SMD-ME and AP MLDs obtain the PTK or SMD-KDK through interaction. However, you also stated that “The SMD-ME identifies the PTKSA to be used based on the MLD MAC address of the non-AP MLD.”

If it is in Per-AP MLD PTK mode, I think it would also be a straightforward implementation for the SMD-ME to identify and query the SMD-KDK based on the Key ID. Therefore, could we add a Note indicating that the SMD-ME and AP MLDs may identify and retrieve the PTK or SMD-KDK using the Key ID?

  1. In the current text, there is no description of Nonce exchange between the Current AP MLD and the Target AP MLD. The only related description appears in the ST preparation request/response between the non-AP MLD and the Current AP MLD. Would it be possible to add a corresponding description—for example, clarifying it within the ST preparation procedure, or adding it in 37.15.8 (Context)?

B.R.

Hi all

26/0426r3 is now on the server, with text to address the UL replay counter topic as mentioned below, and also resolutions to 16 additional CIDs.

I believe I have responded to the feedback I received so far, additional review/comments are welcome...

Thanks

Thomas

Hi all

Thanks for the feedback when I presented 26/0426r1 during the MAC adhoc.

I have now uploaded R2, in which I have tried to address almost all the comments I received offline since:

There is one item that is highlighted in the Word comments, and relates to how UL replay counters are set on the target AP MLD. After discussing with several folks during the adhoc, there is a draft update to address this and I intend to incorporate it within the next R3 revision to be posted tomorrow.

Thanks

Thomas
