Hi Steve, Thank you for your comments and feedback. Let me try to address your concern regarding the usefulness of the WPT management link between the AP and AMP STA. I have had offline discussions separately with others in the group on this topic,
to highlight what kind of information can be carried in this WPT management link. This can be capability information, current energy status, etc. to allow the AP to be informed of the AMP STA’s current energy harvesting needs. This can influence the AP’s information
exchange with the energizer, for example if the energizer needs to transmit for a longer duration, higher power (if regulation allows it), higher duty cycle (energizer on-off period), etc. We will have a future contribution to shed more light and hopefully
more clarity on this topic. Kind Regards Ian From: Steve Shellhammer <sshellha@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Ian, Since there will be no time to discuss the straw polls during PM1, I thought I would send out an email. In SP3 I think the link between the AP and the Energizer would be helpful when the Energizer and the AP are separate devices. It would be useful for the AP to tell the Energizer
when to transmit energizer signal and possibly on which frequency and such (WPT management). However, in SP2 and SP3 I do not currently see the usefulness of WPT management in the link between the AP and the AMP STA. Maybe after some more discussion we can clarify what
WPT management would be useful for that link. Regards, Steve From: Ian Bajaj <0000340c29b22c99-dmarc-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
