[STDS-802-11-TGBP] Non-AP AMP STAs terminology (24/1846r2)

Dear all,

Thank you for the feedback during my contribution  (24/1846r2) yesterday. I have added my responses (in blue) to the following comments received:

1) remove uplink, downlink to capture the cases where the AMP Reader is not an AP. (comments by Rakesh, Yinan)

RC: All PPDUs in SFD are currently defined as either DL or UL, so I prefer to retain the terms uplink/downlink; I revised the definitions to align with SFD terms for the PPDUs. We can revisit the definitions, if needed, when the architecture for the AMP Reader not being an AP is clearer.

2) Clarify that the transmission from Active Tx non-AP AMP STAs is limited to AMP transmission. (comments by Weijie)

RC: Agreed. Added AMP Uplink PPDU.

3) Rename AMP Assisted non-AP STA to AMP Aware non-AP STA as the term “assisted” is not clear. (comments by Rakesh)

RC: Suggest to rename as AMP Enabled non-AP STA.

Modified SP text (aligned with SFD names for PPDUs):

Backscatter non-AP AMP STA: A non-AP AMP STA that is capable of receiving only AMP Downlink AMP PPDUs and supports uplink backscatter transmission.

Active Tx non-AP AMP STA: A non-AP AMP STA that is capable of receiving only AMP Downlink AMP PPDUs and supports active uplink transmission of AMP Uplink PPDUs.

AMP Assisted Enabled non-AP STA: A non-AP STA (e.g. non-HT, HT or HE STA) that is also capable of receiving AMP Downlink AMP PPDUs.

Do let me know if there are further comments on this.

Best Regards,

Rojan Chitrakar
