[STDS-802-11-TGM] Question on TGad roll-in

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Task Group M Technical Reflector ---

Dear TGmc folks,

In the TGad roll-in,  there are a number of places where changes by REVmc were incompatible with changes by TGad.

One specific area is the PHY characteristics,  where we removed dual PMD,RF and replaced by PHY.

In the Roll-in,  I did a “merge” to produce a table that matches the other PHYs.  Carlos believes I went too far,  and should

have implemented the table as present in .11ad,   which would then necessitate comments on the D2 ballot to fix them.

I realize and accept that the changes I made were not editorial,  but I do claim they are obvious (i.e. there is only one possible

final outcome).  I’ve also noted where such changes were made with Editor Notes.

I would like to establish from the group whether they approve my approach,  or would prefer to see a stricter roll-in.

Once we establish a group position,   I will know how to respond to D1.1 review comments on this subject.

Best Regards,
