--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Task Group M Technical Reflector ---Hi all,
I took an action to propose resolutions to CIDs 4161 and 4164 and I believe they are on the agenda to be discussed on today's REVmd call. The comments are given below.
I consulted with David Goodall on the resolutions.
For CID 4161, I posted https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-1084-00-000m-resolution-to-cid-4161.docx
For CID 4164, I consulted with David and we recommend rejecting the comment for insufficient detail.
Cheers,
Mike

CID Page Clause Duplicate of CID Resn Status Comment Proposed Change 4161 4383.00 E The Australian channel numbers 28 and 32 in global operating class 69 are not represented in the US set of channel numbers for the same global operating class (crikey!). Is there a reason why channels 30 and 34 aren't used for Australia instead of 28 and 32? Not using a common set of channel numbers for 2 MHz may not be a problem if scanning for networks is done using 1 MHz channels, but somehow I think it would be safer to have a common set of channel numbers. In addition if we managed to get additional spectrum below 915 MHz we would need to renumber anyway to make the channels contiguous. A similar problem occurs for 4 MHz channel numbering and for the same channels in New Zealand. Review and renumber Australian and New Zealand 2 MHz and 4 MHz channel numbers. 4164 4382.00 E 920-923 MHz may now be available in Indonesia. Confirm availability of 920-923MHz band in Indonesia and add channels to table E-5 depending on width allowed by regulator, i.e. 3 x 1 MHz channels and 1 x 2 MHz channel if allowed.
