[STDS-802-11] 802.11ad has been approved!

Dear 802.11,
 
Congratulations, once again, to the members of 802.11.
We have just received confirmation that the IEEE Standards Board has approved 802.11ad.
Special thanks to the task group leadership team lead by Eldad Perahia, Carlos Cordeiro, James Yee and Chris Hansen
 
 
Additional Information:
Publication is expected late December 2012
As usual,  a complimentary copy of the published version will be made available to members after publication.
 
Awards are being scheduled for March 2013.
