Objet : [STDS-802-11] IEEE 802.11 HEW SG call for submissions

Hi Laurent,

I would like to make a presentation (about 15-20 minutes or so) in the HEW Study Group.  The tentative title is: "Coexistence and Optimization of Wireless LAN: Time, Frequency, Space, Power, and Load"  The idea is to address the "Technical Feasibility" portion of the 5C.  Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.

Best regards,

Jim

Dear All,

On March 22, 2013 the IEEE 802 Executive Committee approved an 802.11 request to create a new Study Group called High Efficiency WLAN (HEW). Background information will soon be available there: http://www.ieee802.org/11/Reports/hew_update.htm.

The new HEW SG will meet for the first time the week of May 13 at the 802.11 Interim Meeting in Hawaii. The HEW SG has tentatively been allocated four meeting intervals in which to conduct activity during the meeting week. Current agenda is available on the following link: https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/13/11-13-0400-00-0hew-hew-sg-may-2013-agenda.ppt

This e-mail is a Call for Submissions for the HEW Study Group for presentation at the May 802.11 Interim Meeting in Hawaii. Submissions should focus on material that will inform the group in its efforts to develop a PAR and 5C. This includes for instance use cases, problem statements, scope and purpose presentations.

Please upload your submissions to Mentor using the HEW SG identifier prior to May 12 and let me know by e-mail of your intention to present.

Thanks in advance for your planned participation in this new High Efficiency WLAN Study Group.

Sincerely,

Laurent Cariou

HEW Study Group Chair Pro-Tem
