--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
On Monday, November 11, the IEEE 802 will be hosting the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Ethernet. The event take place between 7 to 9PM in the Landmark B Ballroom at
the Hyatt Regency Reunion in Dallas, TX. The evening will include a keynote address by Ethernet inventor and 3Com founder, Dr. Robert Metcalfe. Dr. Metcalfe will share his thoughts on this milestone occasion with us and
then join Ethernet co-inventor Dr. David Boggs, co-founder Ron Crane of 3Com, Thomas Hogenmüller of Robert Bosch GmbH, and panel moderator Steve Carlson to discuss how the lessons from Ethernet's past can be applied to its future in new application areas such
as vehicular Ethernet. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. I hope to see all of you there to celebrate 40 years of Ethernet innovation.
The event is open to the public.
Please feel free to share this invite with
any colleagues in the greater Dallas area about this. Regards, Adrian Stephens
