I tried today and it worked fine but I noticed that the selection of “attendee’ or ‘early bird’ was now not present. Anyway, it worked smoothly and the price
was the $169 rate. Thanks for sorting this out, appreciated. Graham From: Jon Rosdahl [mailto:Jon.Rosdahl@xxxxxxx]
So, as I just told someone who had been able to reserve at the lower rate for some of the nights, but at the higher rate for some of the nights.. just book what low rate for the nights that you can and then we can try to see if we can get
the low rate for your other nights. The automated reservation system can not take nights from another night , but what we can do is asked the hotel if we can reshuffle some of tbe nights, or get more nights, but they are only obligated by contract to give
the contracted number. The point is that the room block has so many nights held for our group over the time the hotel is offering us rooms. Then they provided for 40% of the block can be at a low rate....when we hit the 40% then that rate is gone. ? Usually the group has not consumed the early-bird so quickly...it is actually a good thing for the group...but as you note not so good for you individually. When Dawn and Lisa get a chance to talk with the hotel folks who are asleep now, if you have reserved a subblock at the lower rate and part at the higher rate, then they can see if there is some swapping that can be done. If the block
is infact sold out, then we must have 120 people that have already signed up. Regards, Jon Sent from Samsung tablet
So the meeting notice comes on Feb 26th, 3 working days later the early bird is sold out!!
For those who are attending Wi-Fi Alliance meeting, this effectively is zero days. Yes, we get a “book now” email, but in fact the rooms were already gone! Now add in that we have not yet even attended the March meeting yet, that is still two weeks away.
This really is a nonsense and leaves one in a particularly bad mood. Not good enough and only serves to create unhappy punters.

the standard room rate of US$189 per nite. You can get the AAA rate at US$179 per nite, other lower special discounts are still available.
