Dear 802.11 members, I am pleased to announce that the motions brought forward by 802.11 to the LMSC closing plenary all passed. Specifically: ·
P802.11ah PAR extension ·
P802.11ai PAR extension ·
Next Generation 60 GHz (NG60) Study group. I am appointing Carlos Cordeiro chair pro tem of this group. The Study Group will meet at the September interim and elect itself a chair. ·
Liaison to ITU/IEC JTC1/SC6 regarding comments received during FDIS ballots on 802.11aa, 802.11ad and 802.11ae. ·
Sending 802.11ac and 802.11af to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6 for ratification under the PSDO process. Also of note is that the “Wireless Chairs” now have a formal status as a standing committee of 802, and Dr. Robert Heile is the chair of this committee.
