[STDS-802-11] Outcome of IEEE 802 EC meeting re: 802.11 motions

Dear 802.11 members,

 

The EC conditionally approved TGai to sponsor ballot.

TGai is now operating using the accelerated procedure described in the 802.11 OM.  This means that TGai telecons can make motions,  including resolving comments and approving  a WG recirculation ballot.

 

The NGP PAR was approved to be sent to NesCom.

The NGP SG second extension was approved.

 

The press release related to the 25th Anniversary was approved without change.  However,  I will be recommending one change under “editorial license” to the IEEE-SA before publication based on comments made during the motion.

 

The liaison of the response to the two comments received during the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6 FDIS ballot of 802.11ac and 802.11af was approved.
