Dear 802.11 members, The WiFi Alliance (Kelly Davis-Felner) writes: “The first is to congratulate you on the upcoming anniversary and see if there is anything Wi-Fi Alliance
can do to support your outreach.” They have invited us to contribute to the WFA’s “Beacon” blog. I will respond to that. They also write: “The second matter is to invite IEEE to speak at our upcoming
Smart Home Summit in Beijing on September 22. We are hosting a panel discussion on the need for interoperability and standards to move the smart home forward, and currently have confirmed speakers
from AllSeen Alliance and Open Interconnect Consortium. I thought a speaker from IEEE 802.11 would be a good addition to the mix.
