[STDS-802-11] FW: IEEE 802.11 25th Anniversary and Wi-Fi Alliance Smart Home Summit

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---

Dear 802.11 members,

The WiFi Alliance (Kelly Davis-Felner) writes:

The first is to congratulate you on the upcoming anniversary and see if there is anything Wi-Fi Alliance can do to support your outreach.

They have invited us to contribute to the WFA’s “Beacon” blog.  I will respond to that.

They also write:

The second matter is to invite IEEE to speak at our upcoming Smart Home Summit in Beijing on September 22. We are hosting a panel discussion on the need for interoperability and standards to move the smart home forward, and currently have confirmed speakers from AllSeen Alliance and Open Interconnect Consortium. I thought a speaker from IEEE 802.11 would be a good addition to the mix. Please let me know if this is of interest.

If any member has an interest in attending and speaking on behalf of current 802.11 programmes,   please get in touch with me.

Best Regards,

Adrian P STEPHENS
