IEEE 802.11(TM) Letter Ballot 217 To: IEEE 802.11 Voters, With this email, the 802.11 Working Group is officially beginning WG Technical Letter Ballot 217 (LB217), which is a Letter Ballot on the question "Should P802.11aj D1.0 be forwarded to Sponsor Ballot?". Included in the scope of this motion are: 1) IEEE Draft P802.11aj D1.0. 2) The CSD document (11-12-0141-07-cmmw-ieee-802-11-cmww-sg-5c.doc).
3) The CA document (11-15-1535-00-00aj-coexistence-assurance.docx).
Comments (and negative votes) are in order based on any of these three documents. Note, the CA document is a new document produced personally by the TGaj chair, when its absence was discovered while setting up the ballot package. I have determined that the ballot can proceed with the CA document explicitly within the scope of the ballot as noted above. This Letter Ballot opens Mon Dec 21, 2015 at 23:59 Eastern Time USA (11:59PM) and will close 30 days later on Wed Jan 20, 2016 at 23:59 Eastern Time USA (11:59pm). All necessary documents are available in the instructions that can be found
on the IEEE 802.11 web site at http://www.ieee802.org/11/LetterBallots/LB217aj/LB217_instructions.html. Important: o This is a 30-day Technical letter ballot and the ballot group (i.e., those that may vote) for this ballot is all IEEE 802.11 voter members as of the start of this letter ballot. o All current voter members of 802.11 are required to vote on this ballot. o If you cast a "Do not approve" vote on this ballot, it must be accompanied by comments for your vote to be valid. o You must follow these instructions to vote. Do not send an email to vote. Voting by any method other than the web-based process described here will invalidate your vote.
o Failure to follow these instructions will result in your vote being discarded as an invalid vote.
o Not voting on letter ballots or sending an invalid vote can affect your voting privileges. o The draft is password protected in accordance with IEEE 802 Policies and Procedures. To obtain the draft, use the username and the password supplied to active members for the 802.11 WG private area. (The attached file contains a reminder set for 5 days before the close of the ballot. You may find it helpful to import this into or open this with your calendar client in order to get an automated reminder.)
Thank you for participating in Letter Ballot 217.
