--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
Dear 802.11 participants, Please see the notice of 802.1’s WG ballot on P802c. As the 802.11 private area credentials also work for the 802.1 private area, 802.11 participants of aspirant and over are able to access the ballot materials and provide comments using the process described for 802.1. I do not feel the need to interpose any additional process, such as collecting comments “on behalf of” 802.11. I anybody strongly disagrees, please get in contact with me (privately). Best Regards, Adrian P STEPHENS Tel: +44 (1793) 404825 (office) ---------------------------------------------- From: ***** IEEE 802 Executive Committee List ***** [mailto:STDS-802-SEC@xxxxxxxx]
On Behalf Of Glenn Parsons Colleagues, The editor, Roger Marks, has created a new draft IEEE P802c/D1.0 Overview and Architecture - Draft Amendment: Local Medium Access Control (MAC) Address Usage:
http://ieee802.org/1/files/private/802-c-drafts/d1/802c-d1-0.pdf
802.1 has now started a WG ballot on P802c/D1.0: http://www.ieee802.org/1/private/email2/msg24686.html
As this should be of general interest, I would request all 802 WGs to make the initiation of this WG ballot known to your WG members. We are encouraging comments from all 802 WG members. I would encourage WG chairs
to handle this as most appropriate to your WG -- that is either: - encourage your WG members to provide comments directly in response to the 802.1 WG ballot - perform a comment collection in your WG and provide an aggregate ballot comment to the 802.1 WG ballot Please contact me with any questions.
