You can use American Express to buy train tickets. All the taxis I used in Seoul accepted credit cards. But there were a few times when my US credit card (VISA) did not go through. Not sure if was bad luck.
Sorry but I know less about taxis in Daejeon… Thanks. Youhan From: *** IEEE stds-802-11 List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxx]

One would think that our $800 registration fee would include a comprehensive travel guide for this location. /b From: *** IEEE stds-802-11 List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxx]

Thanks Suhwook, Do you know if the train ticket counter accepts credit cards like American Express?
What about the taxis in South Korea. Do they generally accept credit cards? Thanks again, -Andrew Andrew Estrada, Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, Sony From: *** IEEE stds-802-11 List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxx]

Hi Graham, The ticket isn’t available in the next train. You can change the ticket for next train at ticket counter with a cancellation fee. (15% before 20 minutes after departure time of the train, 40% before 60 minutes, 70% after 60 minutes) Best, Suhwook Kim From: *** IEEE stds-802-11 List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxx]

Thanks Adrian. Final question to anyone familiar with the route, “If I book a train ticket I see that I must choose a particular time. If the plane is delayed and I miss that train, can I still use the ticket on the next train?” For example, I arrive at 3.05pm, theoretically, so I could choose the 4.30pm train. If the plane is late or I get stuck in arrivals, could I still use my ticket
for the next train, or indeed a non-direct train? Or have I misunderstood the reservation scheme? Or is it better not to book in advance? What please is recommendation? Sorry to be a nuisance but maybe others will benefit also from the replies. Thanks Graham From: *** IEEE stds-802-11 List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxx]
