Today the IEEE Standards Association Standards Board (SASB) approved the PARs for establishment of
P802.11bc Enhanced Broadcast Service and
P802.11bd Enhancements for Next Generation V2X.
Congratulations to all who worked on the PAR/CSDs to get to this point! The approved PARS will
With this SASB approval,
- the BCS and NGV Study Groups have completed their work and are closed.
-TGbc and TGbd Task Groups are established.
- I appoint Marc Emmelman (TBC) as TGbc Chair.
- I appoint Bo Sun (TBC) as TGbd Chair.
The TGbc and TGbd document groups are active on the Mentor document server. Please
post applicable documents to the new document groups.
The corresponding email reflectors will be operational shortly, with notification to the 802.11 reflector when active.
The WG officers will support the TG leadership to ensure a seamless transition from SG to TG operation.
Additional Task Group officer elections will occur during the January 2019 session.
