[STDS-802-11] IEEE 802 EC 2020-04-07 meeting results

Dear 802.11 members,

1. At the IEEE 802 EC teleconference meeting today, the EC approved formation of the WG11 Random and Changing MAC Address (RCM) Study Group. WG11 approval of the RCM SG occurred at our January 2020 Interim meeting (see https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-0192-02-0rcm-random-and-changing-mac-addresses-study-group-creation.pptx ). At the January meeting, I had asked for volunteers to chair the new SG.

I appoint Carol Ansley ( carol.ansley@xxxxxxxxxxxxx  ) as RCM SG Chair, subject to WG confirmation (confirmation motion currently planned for July). The SG can begin meeting via teleconference, with the required 10-day notice.

2. The EC also approved formation of an EC Public Visibility Standing Committee, see https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/20/ec-20-0061-00-00EC-formation-ieee-802-ec-public-outreach-standing-committee.pdf . If you are interested in volunteering to be the 802.11 representative to that committee, please let me know.
