[STDS-802-11] 2020 September 802 Wireless Interim in Atlanta will not be held

Dear 802.11 members,

Due to the current COVID situation and resulting travel restrictions, the planned September 2020 WIreless Interim session at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, Atlanta Georgia will not be held. See the motion below, which was approved at the Wireless Chairs Standing Committee meeting yesterday. Bob Heile and the meeting organizers will work with the hotel to minimize any financial impact.

Per the 802 Operations Manual,  https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/17/ec-17-0090-23-0PNP-ieee-802-lmsc-operations-manual.pdf , section 5,
" Additionally, IEEE 802 LMSC Working Groups and Technical Advisory Groups are allowed to have electronic meetings to make decisions between Plenary Sessions, but such meetings do not count for participation credit."

We will discuss a WG11 electronic September meeting at the upcoming July 2020 WG11 session.

The following motion was passed at the Wireless Chairs meeting yesterday:

·        Move to postpone the 2020 Interim in Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, GA, to the next available North American Interim time.

·        Moved: Jon Rosdahl, Second: Rick Alfvin

·        Result: Y: 5, N: 1, A: 0 (Motion passes)
