Sorry I could not make the call today …

 

I had a look at the motions related to my comment (5001, dealing with whether Beacons can use PIFS access). The final outcome is acceptable to me (ie simply documenting there is no consensus and there was discussion, which is true), but also indicates a fundamental disagreement within the Wi-Fi community about how Wi-Fi access the medium. Some believe the use of PIFS for Beacons is “cheating”, whereas others just do it, possibly in violation of the standard.  This disagreement probably needs to be addressed at some point, but not in a way that delays 11md.
