[STDS-802-11] Preparation of P802.11REVme Revision PAR

Dear 802.11 members,

P802.11REVmd D5.0, the current revision standard under development, is on the 2020 Dec RevCom/Standards Board agenda for approval.
Three 802.11 amendments are expected to be ratified early in 2021: P802.11ax, P802.11ay, and P802.11ba.


Please see document https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-1682-00-0000-p802-11revme-revision-par.doc which contains a draft PAR for the next revision of the 802.11 standard.

This P802.11REVme PAR will be submitted into the myProject tool once the ongoing revision project is completed (the tool allows only one active revision PAR).


This draft PAR will be reviewed during the 2020-11-02 PAR Standing Committee teleconference, with the intent to bring it to WG11 for approval at the

2020-11-10 WG11 November Session Closing Plenary. Thanks to Mark Hamilton and Jon Rosdahl for their preparation and review of the draft document.

I will notify this revision PAR to the 802 EC under the 48-hour rule, for approval at the 2020-11-13 EC November Closing Plenary meeting.
