Re: [STDS-802-11] [STDS-802-18] Today's discussion on ISUS draft statement in .18 plenary
--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
Dear all,
Following the discussion we had today in the .18 plenary, I've uploaded
a revision 9 with some feedback from the individuals who volunteered to
contribute during the meeting:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/22/18-22-0087-09-ISUS-draft-statement.docx
I've accepted some of the changes that were previously tracked changes,
if they were not controversial or have seen no new proposed changes in
the last 2 weeks, as per the revision log: "changes in the introduction
(marked as accepted after no objections were made in the .18 session on
17 Jan 2023), "real" headings marked as accepted, changes in text of
recommendation 2 marked as accepted to avoid further clutter, yellow
highlights in introduction and co-existence sections removed, other
changes *not*marked as accepted, recommendation 4 proposed to be removed,"
Some changes made in parts of the text for now is to remove mentions of
specific amendments, reduce mentions of Hz, removal of recommendation 4,
new Wi-Fi use-case lists in Current and future state-section, and a new
sentence at the end of the optimistic endnote.
If you have any questions or additional comments let me know. Please be
aware this is not a final draft, and it aims to make it easier for
people who additionally volunteered to go over the text editorially.
Best regards,
Amelia

Dear all,
I just uploaded a revision 8 of the ISUS draft on mentor:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/22/18-22-0087-08-ISUS-draft-statement.docx
It incorporates some editorial suggestions from Paul Nikolich from
last week. Hassan Yaghoobi has also made inputs on the Current
Applications section which remain to be discussed.
I placed a special mention of the IEEE 802.11ah amendment in the table
in the annex at the request of Dave Halasz (but as info to Dave, I
have not included the Wi-Fi Alliance brandname for the amendment under
the logic that readers of our statement are anyway pointed to the WFA
website).
I also heard that we will receive some comments on the annex from .15
folks, but later today (that is, not in time for the .18 AM2 session).
If you would like to contribute to revision 9, please let me know :-)
Best regards,
