Dear Vijay, all,

I've had additional inputs from you and a few other people - thanks for finding additional improvements! I'll work on collating them today and we can go through them in ~9 hours during the teleconference call :)

Best,

A

Hi Amelia and all,

The current version looks great. I have made some suggested edits (attached). Please feel free to accept or reject any and all.

Regards,
Vijay

Subject: [STDS-802-11] IEEE 802.18 ISUS ad-hoc latest (much shortened) draft position statement

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---

Dear all,

Last week in the Interim Session, IEEE 802.18 considered the draft
position statement from the IEEE 802.18 ISUS ad-hoc group. After many
contributions from a large set of individuals (thank you!) we were able
to get a crisper, more encompassing document. We also reviewed a clean
version of the draft, but were not able to motion the document for EC
approval within our meeting slot.

However, only final editorials remain. I've uploaded a much shortened
draft position statement on the IEEE 802.18 mentor here:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/23/18-23-0015-01-ISUS-isus-clean-version-of-spectrum-statement.docx

You can follow revision history in the abstract and through
track-changes. For many contributors, it may feel as if your points were
lost or cut half-way - I've tried to preserve the gist of any
contribution. I hope this gives enough opportunity to review the
document before Friday 12 ET, when we are now targetting holding the
last ISUS call.

On Friday's teleconference call, where we hope to finalize this document
for IEEE 802.18 approval, the main focus will be any way to make the
statement even shorter. The 2018 statement was only 2 pages long - our
new version is 2,5 pages (excluding boilerplate). Adjectives, adverbs
and superlatives are charachter hogs I could imagine dropping in more
places.

If you are not able to attend Friday's teleconference call, you can
still drop me an e-mail offline or attend the weekly teleconference call
of IEEE 802.18 next week, where we expect to consider the document one
final time.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
