Re: [STDS-802-11] Draft spectrum statement motion on RR-TAG Weekly teleconference tomorrow

Here's my problem with the change:  "recently allocated" is not true world-wide.  As is it is true: 802.11 defines channelization for the band.  We are advocating changes to allow 802.11 in the frequency range in those regions were it is not yet allowed.  It is technically correct as is and not so much with that change.

All,

My suggested edits are in the attached document, and below:

I would like the sentence…“
IEEE 802.11 supports operation in several bands,[1] including recently the 6 GHz (5925 MHz to 7250 MHz) band with significant deployments underway.”

to read “IEEE 802.11 supports operation in several bands,[2] including the recently allocated 6 GHz band (5925 MHz to 7250 MHz) where significant deployments are underway.”

Hello Amelia,

Thank you for the improved draft.

I have some further suggestions in the attached document.

Best,

Dorothy

Dear all,

After work in the IEEE 802.18 ISUS Ad-hoc and subsequent discussions on
the .18 reflector, and two .18 weekly teleconferences, and offline
discussions with the major contributors to the final text, we're at the
point where the draft spectrum statement is ready to be motioned.

The rev12 of document 18/23-0015 is posted on the .18 mentor:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/23/18-23-0015-12-ISUS-isus-clean-version-of-spectrum-statement.docx

Thank you to all people who have participated and improved this document
until this point,

best regards,
