Comment 2 - NesCom commenter satisfied with no change. No further action needed.
"
The scope should clarify if this amendment applies to ALL existing IEEE 802.11 standards."
DS Response:
Thank you for the comment.
The scope currently includes the text:
"This
amendment defines modifications to the PHY service interface of the
High Throughput (HT), Very High Throughput (VHT), High Efficiency (HE)
and Extremely High Throughput (EHT) PHYs."
While not mentioning
the specific amendments that defined these PHYs, the information is
equivalent from an applicability perspective.
The HT PHY was defined in the 802.11n amendment, which is now incorporated into the 802.11 standard.
The VHT PHY was defined in the 802.11ac amendment, which is now incorporated into the 802.11 standard.
The
HE PHY was defined in the 802.11ax amendment, which is being
incorporated into the next revision (anticipated in 2024) of the 802.11
standard.
The EHT PHY is being defined in the 802.11be amendment, which is now under development (in SA ballot).
So I believe that no additional change is needed.
