On 25 May 2024, Cayman Islands' administration, OfReg, launched a public consultation on a proposed framework for short range devices.  Of particular interest to us is that the administration proposes to allow lower 6 GHz (5925 MHz to 6425 MHz) and WiGig (57 GHz to 71 GHz) for Wi-Fi.  They also provided their rationale why they do not consider AFC and the upper 6 GHz for now.

The comment submission deadline is 27 June 2024.  If you would like IEEE 802 to submit a response, please bring a submission to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than 13 June 2024.

Regards,
Edward
