[STDS-802-11] Taiwan's satellite consultation (5.925 to 6.725 GHz involved)

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
Dear 802.18 participants,
cc. 802.11, 802.15, 802.19 participants,

On 10 July 2024, Taiwan Ministry of Digital Affairs began a consultation that seeks public opinions related to satellite communications.

Among all the proposed changes, the following involves 5.925 GHz to 6.725 GHz for your attention:
1)  The applications of this band are changed from "For mobile communications, digital microwave, satellite fixed communications, satellite radio and television" to "For mobile communications, digital microwave, satellite fixed communications, satellite radio and television, mobile experimental network, fixed microwave, mobile microwave, regional multi-point distributed service microwave, high-speed wireless transmission, radio measurement"
2)  A maximum duration of 5 years is also proposed for anyone who wants to use this band for the above-mentioned applications.
3)  The following condition is also added:  This  frequency band is reserved for future mobile communications use. Existing synchronous/non-synchronous satellite fixed communication setup
Users must not interfere with mobile communications and must tolerate interference with mobile communications used under disturbing conditions.
