On 19 February 2025, UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) began a consultation on its spectrum outlook 2026 to 2031.

There are quite a few discussions on the planned use of the upper 6 GHz band, 7.125 GHz to 8.4 GHz, and THz band.  There are also discussions about the 5 GHz Wi-Fi that the admin plans to allow more outdoor operations in selected bands, and the possibility of updating regulations of UWB depending on use cases.

The comment submission deadline is 31 March 2025.  If you want IEEE 802 LMSC to submit a response, please prepare a contribution and bring it to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than 11 March 2025.
