Many thanks Nikola and congratulations on your new appointment!
I would like to nominate myself, Mo Islim, for the position of Vice Chair of the IEEE 802.11br Task Group. I have served as secretary of the Enhanced Light Communication (ELC) Study Group, where I have been contributing to the development and promotion of next-generation light-based wireless communication technology.
I bring over a decade of experience in wireless communications and signal processing, holding both academic and industry leadership roles. I am currently the advanced technology manager at pureLiFi, where I lead R&D programs focused on Light Fidelity (LiFi). My background includes developing innovative physical layer technologies, participating in proof-of-concept deployments showcased at major trade shows, and co-inventing several patents.
I believe that my experience in both technical leadership and standards development, along with my demonstrated commitment to the IEEE 802.11 community, will enable me to effectively support the chair, facilitate productive collaboration, and help guide the successful evolution of the 802.11br Task Group.
Thanks for your consideration,
Regards,
Mo
