Hello Juan-Carlos,

Thanks for this.  A couple of thoughts:

- Do we really think we can get to initial SA ballot by November next year?

What kind of timeline did you have in mind?  D1.0 ready for WG ballot by

November this year, and then just a year to get it through that process?

- "extention" should be "extension"

- There are some arguably vague references to "PQC-enabled" or even

"PQC algorithms" (which is a collision of two nouns).  Shouldn't

these be about the intent, which is resistance to quantum attacks,

i.e. be "QR" or "PQC-resistant"?  Or maybe make the link, something like:

This amendment extends 802.11 security to support algorithms for post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms, i.e. algorithms that are resistant to attack by quantum computers (a.k.a. quantum-resistant). The extentsion:

a)       provides authentication and key management (AKM) suites for PQC-enabled protocols,

b)      specifies the use of PQC digital signature and key establishmentencapsulation algorithms that use PQC,

c)       defines a PQC-enabled password authenticated key exchange that uses PQC, and

d)      considers modifications to symmetric key handshake protocols to supportfor PQC.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi all,

I have uploaded a new revision of the PQC PAR and CSD, taking into account the comments received during the call.

Best,

Juan-Carlos

All,

Reminder -  the first PQC SG meeting March 27th @12PM ET-1PM ET

Plan is to keep the kickoff meeting to 1 hour - I’ve been made aware that there are multiple conflicts at 1PM ET with other standards/working group calls.

We also have a PQC “area” created on mentor for contributions - agenda for the kickoff call is there.

Thanks, and looking forward to kicking off the PQC SG on Thursday.
