 to everyone on receiving the approval — I look forward to working with you all on the next stage of the standard.
I would like to formally nominate Dr. Stefan Videv for the position of Vice Chair of TGbr. Dr. Videv brings over a decade of technical experience in wireless communications, particularly in optical wireless. He also offers a deep understanding of use cases and user requirements, gained through close collaboration with potential customers and real-world LiFi deployments. His strong leadership skills, combined with his deep technical background, make him well positioned to help guide the successful evolution and adoption of the standard.

Hello All,

 

On March 27, 2025, the IEEE SA Standards Board approved the P802.1br (Enhanced Light Communications) project.

 

Congratulations to Nikola, Volker and all the ELC SG participants!

 

I appoint Nikola Serafimovski as TGbr Chair pro tem. Nikola did an excellent job running the P802.11bb project and I expect he will do the same for this new project.
