* Partial Refund: Cancellations received after May 22, 2026, and by June 26, 2026, will be charged a $150.00 Cancellation Fee.
* No Refund: Cancellations after June 26, 2026, will not be refunded.

IEEE 802 and ITU-T Study Group 15 Workshop
Emerging Standards in the AI/ML World
The IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (lead sponsor) and the ITU-T Study Group 15 are hosting the 10th Joint IEEE 802 & ITU-T SG15 Workshop on Saturday 11 July 2026 at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal, in Montreal Canada.
About the Workshop
Bringing together global stakeholders, the workshop explores emerging standards in AI/ML, focusing on:
* Applications and protocols
* High-speed networking solutions
* Fiber technologies for AI
It also strengthens collaboration between IEEE 802 and ITU-T SG15 through technical exchange and shared insights.
Who Should Attend
Open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates, Academic Institutions, and individuals from ITU member countries, including participants from international, regional, and national organizations.
Cost: Free to attend.
Visa Support
Attendees who register to attend the ITU-T SG15 Meeting are be eligible to apply for a visa through the ITU.
Additional Collaboration Opportunity With ITU-T SG15: The ITU-T SG15 Meeting will also be held in Montreal, Canada 29 June to 10 July 2026, creating a unique opportunity for extended collaboration.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Submission: We will supply Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada with a list of all persons who have consented and requested a letter of invitation. This listing will include:
Participants full legal name AND,
Visa application number AND,
Passport country of issuance.
IRCC Privacy: Information collected as part of these participant lists is used to identify and coordinate the processing of visa applications and, upon request, provide organizers updates of aggregate data on the status of visa applications of event participants within the confines of the
Privacy Act and at the discretion of the Special Events Unit.
Entry By Air: Electronic Travel Authorization Requirements
An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air.
An eTA is electronically linked to a traveller’s passport. It is valid for up to five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. If you get a new passport, you need to get a new eTA.
