IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL IEEE 802.15 VOTING MEMBERS:
|
Please read and follow these step by step instructions to complete and submit your vote on IEEE P802.15 Letter Ballot 56.
Background: Per IEEE SA policy and procedure we are required to do a revision of a standard once there are 3 completed amendments. We have hit that point with 802.15.4-2006. Given that we have a series of open projects affecting functionality in both the MAC and Physical layers, the fastest and simplest approach to comply with the rules is to do a simple roll-up which is what this PAR addresses. The good news is a roll-up already exists so we should be able to move pretty quickly once we can free up some resources to work on it.
To expedite the whole process, this PAR has been pre submitted to 802 for consideration at the July 2010 Session in compliance with the 802EC 30 day rule. Since this PAR does not add new functionality, no 5 Criteria is needed.
