Dear All,
I just uploaded two contributions. Sorry for being
late.
(1) One is PHY contribution that describes Subchannel allocation schemes in
PUSC zone
for soft handover in OFDMA PHY
mode.
We are now considering various
types of soft handover on PHY layer.
This uploaded contribution
describes just a part of them.
The assumptions and
considerations for the soft handover in the contribution are the
following:
- OFDMA PHY mode
- Handover occurs between multi-sector BS¡¯s and also between sectors of a multi-sector BS - Soft handover in PUSC zone. - BS¡¯s in the active set are synchronized through the backbone communications - Consider delay-sensitive service such as VoIP, rather than delay-tolerant service - H-ARQ is turned off during soft handover - The arrival time difference of the signals from BS¡¯s in the active set is less than CP (cyclic prefix) time Two types of soft handover are
proposed in the contribution.
- Type 1: RF summing on
downlink, Selection diversity on uplink
- Type 2: Coherent combining
on downlink, Selection diversity on uplink
(2) The other is MAC contribution that describes
Soft handover algorithm in OFDMA PHY mode.
This contribution supports
our proposed soft handover types (PHY layer).
Thank you and see you in the CC.
Best regards,
Jaeweon
