James,
The 802.16b (WirelessHUMAN) PAR includes, in the Purpose, that
statement that the project "will identify techniques to tolerate
interference in the unlicensed bands and facilitate strategies for
coexistence with other unlicensed band systems such as 802.11 and
802.15."
People from 802.16's TG4, which is leading the development of
802.16b, will participate in the new 802 Coexistence Study Group
that, to my understanding, was created to consider how coexistence
across Working Groups should best be addressed. David Chauncey
<dchauncey@clearwire.com>, TG4's Coexistence Liaison is the key
contact in 802.16 on this issue.
Regards,
Roger
