stds-802-16: New 802.16 Acting Secretary
I have invited Ian Barager to become 802.16 Secretary. We discussed
it, and we decided that he would serve as Acting Secretary at least
through Session #11. If he likes the job, we may be able to convince
him to stay on.
Recall that, back on December 14, I announced that we have a vacancy
in the 802.16 Secretary position due to the resignation of Scott
Marin. I asked for volunteers, but I didn't hear from anyone.
Ian has participated in every 802.16 session beginning with #6 (March
2000). He has been active in TG1 and TG3.
Ian will take minutes at the 802.16 Plenary meetings. He will be
helping with document processing during the session, particularly
making sure that documents presented at the Plenary meetings are
available on the server and referencable by number in the minutes. He
will also prepare the attendance books and be responsible for
reporting the results. Ian will follow Scott's recent innovation of
giving each Task Group its own book. Each Task Group will be
responsible to maintain its own book during the week, marking it up
after each meeting interval (up to three times a day).
Thanks to Ian for helping out with this task. Please give him your
support and cooperation in keeping us organized and efficient during
the session and ensuring that we leave it with complete records of
our progress.
Regards,
Roger
