Glen,
You have made great technical contributions to 802.16. Your
constructive leadership has also been key in helping us to reach
consensus. Finally, your editorial work on the TG1 draft has been
immense. I particularly appreciate the scores of hours you spent over
the holidays in implementing the many complex decision we made to
restructure the text to support all the 802.16 task groups. At the
time time, you re-drew dozens of figure in FrameMaker, which is by
itself an invaluable contribution. In spite of your reference, at
Session #10.5, to FrameMaker as "a basic tool for any software
developer", few of us are able to handle it the way that you do.
We'll miss your presence and your contributions. However, your big
recent effort got us over the hump editorially and put us in the
position to see the TG1 draft through to completion. Thanks for
leaving us in great shape!
Best regards,
Roger
