stds-802-16: NEW: file sharing among 802.11, and 802.15, and 802.16
As of this morning, the 802.16 username and password will provide you
access into two new web areas: the IEEE 802.11 and 802.15
password-protected sites. Reciprically, 802.11 and 802.15 passwords
will provide access to 802.16's password-protected site. 802.11 and
802.15 have established the same relationship among themselves. In
short, any of the three username/passwords will unlock any of the
three private sites.
This change resulted from a decision of 802.11 Chair Stuart Kerry,
802.15 Chair Bob Heile, and me. We have seen increasing demands for
sharing of information across the Working Groups. Part of this arises
from the regulatory and coexistence work, which began coming together
quite harmoniously at Session #14. Intriguingly, we have also begun
to receive a number of inquiries from 802.11 and 802.15 regarding our
MAC.
Please be careful with your username and password. Do not share them
with anyone. Please keep the shared documents confidential to
preserve the spirit of trust we have developed among the groups.
I have modified the 802.16 private-site page
<http://ieee802.org/16/private> to include links to all of the shared
directories to which the 802.16 username/password is applicable. The
list now includes:
*IEEE 802.11
*IEEE 802.15
*IEEE 802 Regulatory Ombudsman
*ETSI BRAN Documents
Enjoy!
Regards,
Roger
