stds-802-16: P802.16a/D6 Recirculation Ballot Report (votes and comments)

The P802.16a/D6 Second Recirculation Ballot has closed.

The vote report <http://ieee802.org/16/tga/sponsorballot/report.html> shows that five people changed their vote from Disapprove to Approve this time, giving the draft an 88% approval rate. Seven Disapprove votes remain.

The comment report is available:
	<http://ieee802.org/16/docs/02/80216-02_62.zip>

15 comments were received, from four people. The new comments are numbered 357-371 in the database, which also includes the old comments for reference. The new comments are from the following:

-Marianna Goldhammer (7 Technical, Binding, 1 Technical, Non-binding)
-Vladimir Yanover (1 Technical, Binding, 1 Technical, Non-binding)
-Tal Kaitz (3 Technical, Binding, 1 Editorial)
-David Trinkwon (1 Editorial)

I have created a page showing my view the steps we can take complete the 802.16a draft: <http://ieee802.org/16/tga/sponsorballot/closeout.html>. Start at the line marked "IF problematic binding comments appear in Second Recirculation Ballot," because that's where we currently stand.

Replies to the comments are solicited. Please follow the instructions below. The deadline is noon (Hawaii) on Monday 11 November.

Here is how to create and submit reply comments. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY OR EXPECT TO HAVE YOUR INPUT IGNORED.

(1) Obtain Commentary <http://ieee802.org/16/docs/Commentary>.

(2) Unzip the Comment Report to get a USR file, which will open in Commentary.

(3) Read the comments in Commentary. When you want to respond to a comment, check the "Marked" at the top of that record. Then fill out the following fields:

Recommendation:
Proposed Resolution:
Reason for Recommendation:

(4) When you are finished entering replies, look under Scripts and choose "Find Marked Records". This will find the records for which you checked the "Marked" box.

(5) Put your name in the "Recommendation by" field of each reply {for a quick method, see Appendix at the end of this note.}

(6) Under Scripts, choose "Export Clause Editor's Proposals". Choose the file type "FileMaker Pro Runtime Files". Enter a file name of the form "16a_reply_Name.USR", where "Name" is your name.

(7) Email the exported file as an attachment to <mailto:ballot@wirelessman.org>.
