[STDS-802-16] Some questions

Hi,

I come from DOCSIS background and am trying to learn about the 802.16
specification. Would be great if someone can point me in the right
direction regarding my questions (all assume OFDM PHY):

1. Request/Transmission policy: Bit #0 prohibits the broadcast
bandwidth request opportunities.
Does this cover the multicast contention request opportunities or not?

2. UGS connections: Requirement on BS is to provide the SS with fixed
size grants, but there is no mention on what the grant size must be.
Should this be derived from the minimum reserved traffic rate and
maximum latency?

3. Fragmentation on UGS connections: Nothing in Section 6.3.5
prohibits UGS connection SDUs from being fragmented and/or packed. Is
there any known restriction prohibiting packing and/or fragmentation
of UGS SDUs?

4. End of MAP IE for DL-MAP and UL-MAP: What is the CID to be used for
the End of MAP IE?

5. Bandwidth request opportunity size in UCD: this is in units of PSs.
Should the value form an integral number of OFDM symbols?

6. RNG-RSP continue status: If the RNG-RSP is received with a status
of "continue", should the SS still continue to use the UL grants and
contention bandwidth request opportunities for data/request
transmissions? Or should all data transmissions from the SS stop till
a RNG-REQ is sent and a RNG-RSP is received with a status of
"success"?

7. DL-MAP IE preamble setting: Under what cases would the DL-MAP IE's
preamble present bit be set to 1? Is this a SS dependent or a DIUC
dependent parameter? Or is it a channel-wide (for whole downlink)
parameter?
