[STDS-802-16] local server at Session #36
Folks,
The 802.16 server has been running since last night on the 802
Plenary LAN in Atlanta.
All of the "x.wirelessman.org" URLs have been redefined to point to a
LAN address rather than an Internet address. The most useful of these
addresses is:
http://server.wirelessman.org
which will take you to the Session #36 Welcome Page, with the links
you will need at the session.
One of the links you will see from that page is to the Electronic
Attendance Logs <http://attendance.wirelessman.org>. I encourage you
to try this out. You will find that, before you can register your
attendance, you need to first register yourself in the logs. [This
process is unrelated to session registration, so you need to complete
it even if you hold a badge.] Although official attendance won't open
until 1 pm today, you can get yourself registered in the logs early.
You cannot reach the server from the Internet. You can still access
the 802.16 web site <http://ieee802.org/16>, but it will not be
updated consistently during the week. Also, there is a static copy of
the upload server, as of yesterday, available on the Internet as
<http://internetupload.wirelessman.org>
Check the server for the agenda of the Opening Plenary meeting, which
opens at 1 pm in Centennial IV.
