[STDS-802-16] Packets that don't match the convergence sublayer type

Title: [STDS-802-16] Packets that don't match the convergence sublayer type

Hi,

Is a BS or SS entitled to drop a packet with headers that conflict with the convergence sublayer type of the connection used? An example of this scenario is where the convergence sublayer type is Ethernet/802.3 and the packet contains a header with 802.1Q VLAN fields. Is a BS or SS obliged to drop such a packet?

Does the same apply if the convergence sublayer type is IPv4 over Ethernet/802.3 and the packet does not contain IP headers?
