Subject: [STDS-802-16] 802 Architecture activities: seeking 802.16
participation at July 802 Plenary

I've added some additional detail to the draft meeting schedule:
	http://ieee802.org/16/meetings/mtg38/schedule.html
for Session #38 (18-21 July in San Francisco, CA, USA):
	http://ieee802.org/16/meetings/mtg38

Please note two "802 Architecture" activities, one old and one new.

(1) The 802 Architecture will hold is regular meeting from 2-5 pm on
Sunday:
	http://ieee802.org/secmail/msg06889.html

Of 802.16's two designated participants, one (Phillip Barber) can
attend, but the other (DJ Johnston) cannot. If you would like to
participate, please let me know. According to the group, these are the
qualifications for participants:
*Capable of generating a durable architecture.
*Capable of knowing the difference between an architecture, a product,
and a standard.
*Respected within their WG as subject matter experts.

(2) A new activity has been initiated with the intent of creating an
"802 Architecture Study Group". This follows motions by the 802.11,
802.15, and 802.21 WGs. The group will be meeting on Monday from 8am -
12:30 pm. For more information, see:
	http://ieee802.org/21/email21/msg00538.html
and
	http://ieee802.org/21/email21/xls00001.xls

I'd like to have 802.16 represented, so please let me know if you would
like to participate.

Roger
