Yes, GPC was removed (about 3 years ago). Lei From: Sang-Jin Kim [mailto:ksjsc@POSTECH.AC.KR] Hi. There are two bandwidth grant mechanisms in IEEE
802.16-2001. One is GPC (Grant Per Connection) mode. The other is GPSS
(Grant Per Connection) mode. But, GPC mode was removed by IEEE 802.16a-2003. Why does GPC mode delete? If there are documents about reason of GPC mode’s elimination, send me by e-mail. I know that GPSS mode allocate bandwidth per SS (Subscriber
Station). Is a SS’s bandwidth allocated at once a frame? Then, does SS’s QoS (Quality of Service)
requirement satisfy? Assume that there are too many SS that the frame does not
satisfy bandwidth requirements. On what basis will bandwidth be allocated to Subscriber
Stations ? Please, send a reply to e-mail. |
