Hi Panyuh,

I am not sure I understand what you mean by “maintenance standard document”.  This Call for Comments is the invitation to the group to make comments on the proposed maintenance process document <http://ieee802.org/16/maint/docs/80216maint-06_003.pdf>.  This document is meant to detail a process that the WG wants to put in place for handling and compiling reports of errors, ambiguities, and errata, as well as for addressing interpretation requests.

It was decided during my report at the Closing Plenary in New Delhi by the Working Group that the comments received would be resolved in a Maintenance Task Group meeting at Session #42 in Denver.  It is hoped these comments will help to clarify and further detail the process that has been proposed in the above document.  The comments may generate a revised document as a result of their resolutions.  The revised document would then be presented to the Working Group and the intent would then be to make a motion at the Closing Plenary at Session #42 for the Working Group to adopt the maintenance process it describes.  This is all explained in the announcement document for this call: <http://ieee802.org/16/maint/docs/80216maint-06_004.pdf>.

I hope this answers your questions and concerns.

Regards,

Jon

Hi Jon,

In the last January New Delhi meeting, I think we have agreed that we have to make the decision of maintenance process on March.

So it means we are invited to make comments on the maintenance process document. And it does not mean to produce maintenance standard document.

Hope that we may happen to making better procedures in March plenary meeting.

Thanks.

The IEEE 802.16 Maintenance Task Group is opening a call for comments, through 28 February, 2006 AOE, on the proposed maintenance procedure as was presented at the Closing Plenary at Session #41 in New Delhi and as is documented at

The announcement document for the call

details the procedures for submitting comments on the proposed maintenance procedure document.

The comments received will be resolved during the Maintenance Task Group Meeting at Session #42 in Denver, Colorado, and the proposed maintenance procedure document will be updated accordingly.  The modified document will then be submitted to the Working Group for approval at the Closing Plenary at Session #42.
