Re: [STDS-802-16] Question about polling interval and 802.16f
The 802.16f project was completed and the standard published prior to
completion of 802.16e and Cor1. The scope of 802.16f was to cover
802.16-2004 only, not including pending projects. So, just covering
published standards. In anticipation of the timely completion of 802.16e and
Cor1 shortly after publication of 802.16f, the new 802.16i Mobile MIB
project was created. The scope of the 802.16i project authorization includes
accommodating changes introduced in both the 802.16e amendment and in the
published Corrigenda. Really, the 802.16i amendment project covers all
current 802.16 published standards documents. So the answer to your question
is: 802.16f was not intended to cover that material; 802.16i is the current
project intended to cover that material.
